MetlProduct d.o.o., a leader in metal processing and assembly of metal structures (machinery, welding, CNC machining), has successfully implemented an advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) with our support. The project aimed to increase warehousing efficiency, improve inventory accuracy and optimise logistics processes.
1. Project analysis and preparation
Together, we carried out an in-depth analysis of the existing processes in the warehouse – receipt of materials, allocation to locations, preparation and packaging of finished products. During the planning phase, we identified the biggest challenges, such as sub-optimal material allocation, manual picking errors and tedious administrative tasks.
2. Implementation and integration
The WMS system was integrated with MetlProduct’s production infrastructure, including metalworking, where materials were labour tagged by serial numbers for traceability. We used handheld terminals and barcodes to:
tracking receipts
optimum material placement
easy and quick selection for production
keeping records of material consumption
The system was linked to an ERP solution, which enabled the automatic transfer of information in real time.

Inventory accuracy improved by more than 30%
